Bowling notes~John o Mullane, with his family made the long trip from Australia, back to his native Kanturk, to meet up with family and friends. He met up with bowlers from sallys cross, banteer and kilcorney. He played a series of scores at the Denis Horgan bowling club. There was no joy for him in the opening two scores. In the first score he teamed up with maurice cashman to lose out to danny murphy and sam ahern in a last shot play off. In the second score, o mullane, danny murphy, maurice cashman were a bowl of odds out of contention against ned kelleher, john breen and sam ahern.In a return score, with the same players involved, it was the o mullane of old, when he played a great last shot to beat ned kellehers shot by the smallest of margins, to put his team up on the winners podium
